DPRN - Portugal

Natural Parks, Natural Reserves and Protected Landscapes Award

DPRN is a permanent award. It is to all amateur radios and SWL proving made contact with at least 10 amateur radio stations, installed in different territories of National Parks, Nature Parks, Nature Reserves or Protected Landscapes of Portugal recognized by ICN – Portuguese Institute for Conservation of Nature and Biodiversity and all Parks, Reserves and Protected Landscapes approved by regional government of Azores and Madeira Islands.

This national award follows the international award “WFF – World Flora Fauna” http://www.wff44.com and has the support of its responsible ones. Award Promoter is official WFF representative for Portugal.

All Portuguese references in WFF award were supported by DPRN and are the same references for Portuguese Award.

Rules:

All HF Bands, 50 MHz and 144 MHz are valid.

Modes: CW, PHONE and DIG (RTTY, PSK31,…). However the QSO made through any type of repeaters will not be considered.

All contact made from 01 July 2008 are valid and must appear on QSL card with number and name of Park, Reserve or Landscape. The numbers are attributed by sequential order of the responsibility of the award promoter.

It is not necessary the delivery of QSL cards at the award request, provided that the activation has been previously validated and activators has sent us logs from activity. However any HAM must be have these QSLs in case any of them can be claimed by the Award manager”.

Award Order:

Minimum of 10 confirmed references. Can be requested Cork award for 25 confirmed references. Endossement for any 5 references after basic award. Special trophy for all references confirmed.

Send us your log with QSOs information. It can be printed on this web site in AWARD section  . The request can be made by email to dprn@algarvedx.com . It will be possible use Paypal payment.

Before any request, ask information by email.

The award cost is 5€ for paper matter (10 references confirmed). For 25 confirmed references, award matter is CORK and price is 10€. Endossement are free, only need send us SASE with sufficient postage.

Operators who active minimum number references required for obtaining award, will be attributed award with no cost (GRATIS).

Activities:

To all who activate a reference they will be given this reference, but need work 100 stations for the activation to be considered valid except 144 MHz band.

Activation must be inside the physical limit of the Park.

They should be sent copies of any licence, pictures or videos with stations and operators. Please send any Picture that proves the location.

One “Team Photo” is required to be published on web site.

All valid operations will be listed on web site and if possible all logs will be on-line on http://www.algarvedx.com/logonline

Send us always information about your operation. We need it. Remember no card needed for award request!

Some alteration of this regulation will be published on the web site. The missing cases will be discussed by “DPRN Team”.
